Eric Barnhart -- Raiders Fan

Eric Barnhart is among a number of Oakland Raiders fans who add excitement and delight to attending Raiders games.

The 'thrill of winning and the agony of defeat' is why I have been a Raiders fan for over 50 years. It has been an edge of your seat adventure!

When it was announced they were returning home to Oakland I purchased my PSL within the first five minutes they became available. My son was three years old at the time and I wanted to share my passion with him.

Wow, what a ride it has been for the past 21 years. Front Row in The Black Hole!!!!! We have shared this opportunity with many people and the looks on their faces is priceless.

My earliest memories of football came from watching Bay Area sports with my grandfather. He was an avid Raiders fan. I have worn something black for almost 40 years now to support the team and my love of the team has not wavered.

I have been in the moving business for the past 40 years. I have had the opportunity to relocate many players around the country. My greatest move was the Baltimore Colts. I was part of the Mayflower convoy that moved the team to Indy in the middle of the night.

My favorite memory of the Raiders was the 2006 induction of John Madden into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

I had a jersey made that said Madden 06. It was pretty popular in Canton. So popular that I was backstage at the stadium with all the greats Madden flew in; Lamonica, Sistrunk, Al, .. etc. They had a picture of us in the museum as the most notorious fans of football. Get goose bumps of that weekend.

I worked for the Madden family when they lived in Blackhawk years ago. Great people. In Oakland the following year he was honored and his whole family wore Madden 06 jerseys that day.

My love stems from being the underdog, the team everyone loves to hate...etc.

I would be terribly disappointed if they move. The Black Hole in Oakland has been like a family. I have watched generations of kids grow up to have the same passion. I love to share my experience with friends and have made many life-long friends.

The memories that we have of the ups-and-downs of our team will last forever.

I have missed only one game, in 1999, due to lung surgery. I am determined to not miss another. This season is starting to bring back the Raiders swagger and I couldn't be prouder to represent the Nation!
